Update: According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, “Jeffery Lee Nix was located in Randolph County and is safe. Timothy Justin Fishel contacted us by phone and assured his safety, but would not divulge his location due to an outstanding warrant for arrest. The investigation for Fishel will continue.”
CAROLINA BEACH — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who have been reported missing from the Carolina Beach State Park Marina.
According to NHCSO Spokesman Jerry Brewer, Jeffrey Lee Nix, 53, and Timothy Justin Fishel, 32 were last seen on Friday at the marina. The two men were living on a boat at the marina with another person who reported them as missing after they did not come home, Brewer said.
Nix was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue collared shirt; he is 5-foot-9-inches tall and has blue eyes.
Fishel is 6-feet tall and weighs 195-pounds with an average build. He has hazel eyes and brown hair as well as a tribal tattoo on his left forearm and a tattoo of the devil on his left shoulder. He was last seen wearing red swim trunks and a white shirt.
