WILMINGTON—Grammy Award-winning singer Patti LaBelle is coming to Wilmington.
Cape Fear Community College announced Monday that Labelle will perform at The Wilson Center on Jan. 25, 2019. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 11.
Well known for her musical talents, LaBelle has also performed on Broadway, has a cooking television show, is an entrepreneur and is known for her humanitarian efforts.
“She remains an advocate for adoption, foster care, Big Sisters and the United Negro College Fund, among many other initiatives,” a press release from the college states. “In 1994, LaBelle was diagnosed with diabetes and shortly thereafter became a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association.”
The Jan. 25 performance begins at 7:30. Tickets go on sale online next Monday, June 11, at 10 a.m. at capefearstage.com and wilsoncentertickets.com.
Tickets may be purchased in-person or by phone starting at 2 p.m. (closes at 6 p.m.) that day. In-person tickets can be bought at Ticket Central at the Wilson Center, 703 North Third St. Tickets may be bought by telephone at 910-362-7999.
Tickets start at $48.00.
