SOUTHEASTERN N.C.—Even with rain in the forecast, many in Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender counties are planning festivities for Memorial Day. But be forewarned, not all ABC stores will be open.
In Brunswick County, each individual municipal board decided whether or not to be open on Memorial Day; as one employee said, it was “manager’s choice.” The ABC stores were split fairly evenly; six stores will remain open, five will be closed. Note, hours vary slightly from store to store.
In New Hanover County, half of the eight ABC stores will be open Memorial Day; all four open stores will be open 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
All Pender County, all ABC stores will be closed on Memorial Day.
