WILMINGTON—The city’s YMCA public pools are officially opening for the summer.
The city of Wilmington partners with the YMCA to operate three public pools: Legion Stadium, Northside and Robert Strange; all three pools will open on for Memorial Day weekend starting on Saturday.
The pools will open at noon on Saturday, May 26.
Guests who visit the city’s three public pools over the Memorial Day weekend can register to win a free YMCA swim lesson. The drawing for the free lesson will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, at 4 p.m.
Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children; admission is free for YMCA members.
While public school is still in session, from May 26 to June 10, the city pools will be open on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
From June 11 through the end of the summer season, the pools will keep the following hours:
Legion Stadium and Robert Strange pools
Monday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
Northside Pool and Splash Pad
Monday – Friday noon to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday – noon to 5 p.m.
