WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one woman injured early Saturday morning.
According to the release, police responded to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center around 3:20 a.m. where the victim, Tyashia Lewis-Freeman, 22, was being treated for a superficial gunshot wound to her hand.
The incident occurred at a residence on the 1000 block of Princess Street, where there had been a house party earlier that evening.
