Updated: According to the Piedmont Natural Gas Company, the leak has been repaired. Traffic is no longer being blocked on the southbound lane.
WILMINGTON — Wilmington Fire Department crews are evacuating the 600 block of South College Road because of a gas leak.
As of 9:50. University Drive was closed, according to Jennifer Dandron, spokeswoman for Wilmington Police Department.
The leak is in the area of 604 South Carolina Drive. This story will be updated as more information comes in.
