WILMINGTON — For 22 years, the Cucalorus Festival has incubated some of the finest creative minds in the southeast.

This year, you can expect to see the same setup of independent films, documentaries and more. Cucalorus has expanded to include Cucalorus Stage, incorporating a wide range of performance artists, from poets to comedians to a mime.

Cucalorus has yet to release a completed schedule, but has over 150 events set to take place over a five day period. A variety of ticket options are now available online, from a day pass to an all-access pass.

Cucalorus Connect will showcase a slew of professional conferences, including representatives from Corning, ESPN, CBS Sports, SAS, Microsoft and more.

The event expected over 18,000 visitors last year. Over 250 films are set to screen Nov. 8-12. Categorized by three programs, the festival will also offer 33 performances and 35 conference events.

Thalian Hall, Dead Crow Comedy, North Front Theatre and several other downtown locations will serve as venues for the eclectic festival.
