WILMINGTON — The Cape Fear Comic-Con has descended on the Coastline Convention Center in downtown Wilmington. Now in its third year, the convention is bigger than ever, with vendors, cosplayers, and characters from across the Carolinas coming out to celebrate all things nerdy.
The con has seen everyone from the cast of homegrown Port City comedy series “Vaughan” and professional wrestlers Poppa Stro Maestro and Jimmy Vailiant to members of the Star Wars non-profit organization, the 501st Legion, Carolina Garrison.
The convention is scheduled to run until 6 p.m. on Saturday, with a list of various events going on throughout the day, including a cosplay contest, zombie contest, and even a zombie crawl scheduled for the end of the day.
Tickets are $10 at the door, visit capefearcomiccon.com, or check out the Facebook page for the latest updates.
We’ll add more photos as the day goes on. Check back to portcitydaily.com.
