Traffic in downtown Carolina Beach to be diverted for two weeks

Lake Park Boulevard in Carolina Beach will be closed for two weeks for infrastructure upgrades.

CAROLINA BEACH – Traffic heading through the center of Carolina Beach will be diverted for about two weeks for infrastructure repairs.

Charlotte Avenue and Lake Park Boulevard in Carolina BeachBeginning Monday at 9 a.m., Lake Park Boulevard (US Highway 421) will close between Charlotte Avenue and Atlanta Avenue as the Phase B Infrastructure Project continues. The road is expected to be re-opened by Feb. 18.

Businesses in this area will remain open, and access is available to patrons by way of back roads and alternate parking areas, according to a press release from the town. Commercial traffic will be re-routed using Dow Road. View online detour maps.
