As Thanksgiving approaches high school football teams are back on the practice field this week after an impressive Friday night. New Hanover, Laney, Hoggard and West Brunswick put in big performances to advance to the second round of the state playoffs coming up on Friday, Nov. 25.
UNCW men’s and women’s basketball grabbed wins on Sunday heading into match-ups over Thanksgiving weekend. UNCW men’s hoops are 3-0. The women are 2-1 after getting a road victory at Georgia State.
