Wilmington woman faces charges in armed robbery and passing fake $100 to Chopstix delivery driver

WILMINGTON — Detectives have charged a Wilmington woman in connection with to separate incidents involving at a Chopstix delivery driver this month.

Tashiana Janee Jackson, 23, has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with an armed robbery in the 4900 block of Clemson Drive in the late evening of Tuesday, Nov. 15, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.

The victim was held at gunpoint as the suspect demanded food and money, Lindsay said. The suspect then ordered the victim to the ground and searched his vehicle for cash.

Detectives suspect Jackson was involved in another incident with the same delivery driver. On Nov. 1, the victim received a fake $100 bill after delivering food to Campus Evolution Villages apartments. Jackson allegedly received the change from the fake cash and food from the driver during the incident. Jackson faces a charge of obtaining property by false pretenses in the case.

Jackson was arrested Friday and taken to the New Hanover County Jail where she was placed under a $30,000 secured bond.
