WILMINGTON – Duck Donuts, which opened last month in the Mayfaire Community center, makes fresh donuts to order.
Duck Donuts is a homegrown Carolina business, started in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina. Their donuts are assembled in an open – almost theatrical – display area, allowing customers to see the process. Thoughtfully sized steps beneath the glass partitions allow children to watch as well.
