WILMINGTON – Tuesday evening gunfire left a 45-year-old man dead on the front porch of his 13th Street home, Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Linda Rawley said.
Johnny Lee Johnson was shot at around 6 p.m. outside his home in the 100 block of North 13th Street, less than a block away from New Hanover High School. According to Rawley, witnesses reported hearing shots fired in the neighborhood.
Rawley said Johnson was “shot and left for dead on his front porch.”
Police had no suspect information available at the time of this report. Rawley said the homicide investigation is ongoing.
