WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH – The Wrightsville Beach Police Department is reminding residents, visitors and business owners that traffic will be delayed on Saturday, beginning at 7 a.m., due to the Wilmington Family YMCA Triathlon.
The streets that will be most affected by the event will be Causeway Drive (Highway 76), Old Causeway Drive, Dock Street, Seacrest Drive, Keel Street, Short Street and Marina Street. Though the streets will remain open to vehicle traffic, delays are expected, and Wrightsville Beach police officers will be on hand to direct traffic where necessary.
Cars entering and exiting Wrightsville Beach will be diverted to Salisbury Street (Highway 74). Normal traffic is expected to resume by 10:30 a.m. The Wrightsville Beach Parks and Recreation Department can be reached at (910) 256-7925 with any questions.
