Routes to avoid for back-to-school: Road construction for this week

Here is a list of road construction work for Aug. 28 through Sept. 3 for Carolina Beach, Wilmington, New Hanover County and Brunswick County.

Buses will be back on the road, as the school year begins Monday for all schools in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties that are on traditional calendars. Watch for slowed traffic in school zones, and remember to follow  North Carolina law regarding stopped school buses. Scroll to the bottom to see a graphic about the law provided by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles.

All information is gathered from the town of Carolina Beach, the city of Wilmington, the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority and the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
