CASTLE HAYNE – A man killed in a house fire at a Castle Hayne home Monday morning has been identified.
Jonathan Raymond McClory, 24, was positively identified Tuesday as the victim of a fire at 1520 Rockhill Road in northern New Hanover County.
The fire was reported at about 3:44 a.m. Monday, according to New Hanover County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Frank Meyer. It was deemed under control at about 6 a.m. The house was heavily damaged by the fire and was expected to be a total loss, Meyer said.
An investigation by New Hanover County Fire Rescue, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office and N.C. State Bureau of Investigation determined the fire was accidental and electrical in nature, Meyer said.
