Sunday morning got you down?
Rather than lament the impending return to work, get out and enjoy the last day of your weekend with a variety of local outings and events.
A good place to start is, of course, with Sunday brunch. But you’ll find much more than just your typical bacon-and-eggs routine at some of Wilmington’s area eateries.
Both Rx, 421 Castle St., and Pembroke’s, 1125-A Military Cutoff Road, serve up brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Sunday. Pembroke’s puts a signature Southern spin on the traditional Sunday fare, while Rx serves up DIY mimosas alongside its ever-changing menu.

And Taste the Olive, 1125 E. Military Cutoff Road, adds a little bebop to its brunch offerings with live jazz from the legendary local talent Benny Hill each Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. While you nosh, you can also heartily sip on bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas and Bellinis.
After you’ve enjoyed some good local food and a drink—or two—stroll off your meal at the weekly Historic Downtown Marketplace, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
The street fair—on Front Street near the intersection with Market—includes a variety of handmade goods from Cape Fear area artisans and craftsman, as well as live music on a rotating basis.
Now that your Sunday agenda set, check out what else is going on this weekend in our arts and entertainment roundup.
You’ll find the items below—and many more happenings—in depth on The Scene, our always-free, always-easy online community events calendar.
