The death of a Wilmington man whose body was found near Greenfield Lake on Saturday is now being investigated as a homicide.
According to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay, investigators have determined that 20-year-old Dillon Morris was fatally shot. Police initially said the death was “suspicious,” but didn’t release any details about the cause of death.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of East Lake Shore Drive at 4:27 p.m. Saturday, when someone reported finding the body of a man in a ravine, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Leslie Irving.
The investigation into Morris’ death is ongoing.
