WPD weeekend report: Delivery driver robbed at gunpoint; medication stolen from College Road pharmacy

A Chinese food delivery driver was robbed a gunpoint on Princess Street on Sunday night.

Officers responded to an armed robbery reported at 1207 Princess St. at 8 p.m. Sunday, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.

The victim reported that two men came out from behind a tree and approached him as he attempted to deliver food to a third man, Lindsay said. One of the men pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded the food and money. The suspects are described as three black males between 18 and 20 years old.

Medications stolen from College Road pharmacy

Prescription medications were stolen Sunday from Kings Pharmacy on College road.

Police responded to an alarm at the business at 2231 South College Road at 6:09 p.m., according to Lindsay. The suspect is described as a man who wore a dark hooded sweatshirt. The suspect left the scene on a bicycle headed north toward Long Leaf Hills Drive, Lindsay said.

Multiple gunshots reported on Anne Street

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Anne Street on Saturday.

The ShotSpotter alert reported multiple gun shots at 1314 Anne St. at 12:47 a.m., Lindsay said. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to find any suspects.

No injuries or property damage were reported, Lindsay said.

Two charged with carrying a concealed weapon

Police made contact with two men in a suspicious vehicle at 1500 Moore Plaza at 11:46 p.m. Friday, according to Lindsay.

Police reportedly found a loaded gun in the car’s sunroof.

Corey Tyrone Sneed, 43, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He was booked at the New Hanover County jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

Police also arrested 26-year-old Maurice McKoy, Lindsay said. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was booked at the New Hanover County jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
