Wilmington police responded to an armed robbery Tuesday night at Avalon Apartments.
Officers responded to the armed robbery in the 3700 block of Excalibur Way at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Leslie Irving.
The victim stated she was walking to her apartment when she was approached by a man. The suspect pulled out a gun, took her to the back of the building and stole her cell phone.
Irving said the suspect left in an unknown direction. He is described as a thin black male. He wore a black shirt and baggy pants.
