Filming for “Sleepy Hollow” at Bellevue Cemetery, originally scheduled to take place this Saturday, has been pushed up to tonight.

A revised permit filed with the City of Wilmington indicates the production opted to forego filming on Saturday in favor of tonight, which was listed as a rain date on the original permit.
Production is scheduled between 3 p.m. today and 7 a.m. Friday. The shoot will affect traffic in the area, with intermittent traffic control planned on Princess Place Drive between 16th and 18th streets, and on 17th Street between Chestnut and Rankin streets.
A scene description included in the permit states: “Characters discover a grave and are attacked”—a similar, if not the same, scene that was filmed at the cemetery earlier this month. Bellevue is an often-used location for “Sleepy Hollow,” which blends historical fiction with the supernatural.
The permit also emphasizes in bold that scenes will include prop gunfire and stunts. Atmospheric smoke will also be used.
Five cast members and four extras will join as many as 100 crew members on set, the permit states. Four police officers will also be on scene with patrol cars.
The cemetery, located at 1701 Princess Place Drive, was the setting for a night shoot earlier this year and has been featured in the series along with other local landmarks, such as Greenfield Lake and the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, which serves as a police station in the show.
