Man beaten with baseball bat, robbed on Adams Street

Wilmington police are investigating an assault and armed robbery reported early Wednesday morning.

A man reported he was robbed and attacked at his home in the 2100 block of Adams Street at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, police spokeswoman Linda Rawley said.

The man parked his car in his driveway and walked to the front door of his house. Two men “bum-rushed” him and forced the victim into his home, Rawley said.
