Brunswick County vice-narcotics detectives make multiple drug arrests

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office have arrested several people on drug charges.

Vice-narcotics agents arrested three people the evening of Nov. 15 on heroin charges, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax.

Glenn Harry Bowen, 22, of Vernon Road in Leland, was charged with selling and delivering heroin; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found with 18 bags of heroin in his possession, Flax said.

Bowen was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed under a $20,000 secured bond.

Raymonta Galloway, 31, of Fanning St., Wilmington, was charged with selling and delivering heroin; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found with 48 bindles of heroin in his possession, Flax said.

Galloway was taken to the Brunswick County jail and placed under a $30,500 secured bond. He was later released.

Shytonia Louise Williams, 19, of Princess Place Drive, Wilmington, was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver heroin. She was booked in and later released from the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond, Flax said.

On Nov. 18, vice-narcotics agents two people on heroin charges. The arrest stemmed from a driver’s license checking station on N.C. 130 near Shallotte, Flax said.

Danika Shante Swann, 29, of Bridgewater Drive, Conway, S.C., was arrested and charged with maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin; conspiracy to traffic opium or heroin; two counts of trafficking opium or heroin; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Approximately 500 bindles of heroin, with a street value of $10,000, were seized, along with $6,000 in cash, Flax said.

Swann was taken to the Brunswick County jail and placed under a $300,000 secured bond.

Durance Antwan McCray, 24, of Castle Heights Road in Longs, S.C., was arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic opium or heroin. He was taken to the Brunswick County jail and placed under a $100,000 secured bond.

Vice-narcotics agents arrested two people on heroin charges during a traffic stop along Village Road in Leland on Tuesday.

Wagus Moore, 27, of Harbor Drive, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with selling and delivering heroin; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Flax said 18 grams of marijuana and 20 bags of heroin was found in his possession. Moore was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed under a $44,000 secured bond.

Jimmy Levon Underwood, 26, of South 11th St., Wilmington, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver heroin. He was taken to the Brunswick County jail and placed under a $20,000 bond.
