A Wilmington man was arrested Thursday night and charged with the first-degree murder of his father.
According to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Lucy Crockett, Corey Eugene Roberts, 20, was arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing death of his father, 52-year-old Christopher Eugene Roberts.
Crockett said officers responded at about 6:43 p.m. Thursday to the family’s residence at 503 Night Hawk Drive, Wilmington, where Christopher Roberts was stabbed.
Christopher Roberts was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Crockett said.
Corey Roberts is being held at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under no bond. He will appear in New Hanover County court Friday.
