Shooting at Princess Place convenience store, police investigating

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department responded to a shooting Friday evening at a convenience store on Princess Place Drive.

Right after 7:30 p.m., officers arrived at the Prince Mini-Mart (3002 Princess Place Dr.) to learn one person was shot and transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in a personal vehicle. Injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening, according to a release.

There were damages to the interior of the mart from the shooting. Police are conducting a criminal investigation and ask anyone with information to contact WPD at 910-343-3609 or send a message to 847411 using the keyword “WPDNC.” The public can also use the Tip 411 app.
