Tuesday, Aug. 25
The New Hanover County Board of Education will hold an agenda review at 2 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

The Pender County Board of Education will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Dr. Katherine Herring Resource Center, 798 US Highway 117 S. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Discuss updating emergency protocols using the “I Love You Guys” Foundation protocols
- Vote on a new 3-year beginning teacher protocol
The Carolina Beach Town Council will host a workshop at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda includes:
- A presentation of the U-Safe Rescue Buoy Donation to Ocean Rescue by FPTower Inc.
- Renewal of the agreement with Pivot Parking

Wednesday, Aug. 26

Thursday, Aug. 27
Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority (Wave) will meet Aug, 27, 12:30 p.m., at Forden Station (505 Cando St.). A public comment period limited to 5 minutes per person will take place and folks who wish to email in their comments can do so here and email it to [email protected]. The Topsail Beach Shoreline Protection Commission will meet at 2 p.m. in the Surf City town hall, 218 W. Florence Way. Meetings can be livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Assign committee members to the Legislative Priorities Commission
- Nominate and elect TISPC Vice Chairman
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Long Range Planning Committee will meet at 3 p.m. in the Jordan Conference Room, 2nd Floor, 235 Government Center Dr. The agenda includes discussion on infrastructure conveyances to the authority in FY26 and the Last Frontier program update.
Friday, Aug. 28
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority will host a special board meeting to discuss Chemours-related litigation at 12:30 p.m. in the Jordan Conference Room, 2nd Floor, 235 Government Center Drive.
