Australian soft-rock group Little River Band coming to Wilmington

Dubbed by Glenn Frey of The Eagles as “the best singing band in the world,” Little River Band is known for tracks like “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Loser,” and “Cool Change” and will stop at Wilson Center on

WILMINGTON — Coming to Wilson Center this fall is Australia’s Little River Band as part of its “50 Years and More Tour.”

The band will perform at the downtown CFCC venue on Oct. 16. Tickets go on sale for Wilson Center members on Wednesday, June 10, and to the general public on Friday, June 12, 10 a.m. at WilsonCenterTickets.com.

Dubbed by Glenn Frey of The Eagles as “the best singing band in the world,” Little River Band is known for tracks like “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Loser,” and “Cool Change.” The group went multiplatinum in the 1970s and 1980s, with Top 10 hits charting for six consecutive years. 

Today, Little River Band is comprised of long-time bassist and lead singer Wayne Nelson, keyboardist and vocalist Chris Marion, drummer Ryan Ricks, lead guitarist and vocalist Colin Whinnery, and rhythm guitarist Bruce Wallace.
