WILMINGTON — Cape Fear Community College is hosting a hiring event for the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections at the end of the month.

The event will take place on May 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McKeithan Building on CFCC’s North Campus (4500 Blue Clay Road). The goal is to fill critical positions within the correctional system, including licensed practical nurses (LPN), registered nurses (RN), food service staff, correctional officers, probation/parole officers and more.

Offered will be onsite interviews; individuals interested in participating must apply online in advance at dac.nc.gov/careers.

Fingerprinting services will also be available on-site for background checks, a requirement of the hiring process.

Attendees should bring copies of their resumes and any relevant certifications.

The North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections is responsible for the custody and management of adults convicted of crimes in North Carolina. The department is dedicated to enhancing public safety by operating safe, secure facilities and providing effective reentry programs that prepare individuals for successful returns to their communities.
