Cape Fear Community College advanced to the Region X Tournament Finals with a 69-57 win over Louisburg College on Friday night.
The Sea Devils face top-seeded Guilford Tech at 2 p.m. today with a chance to clinch a spot in the National Junior College Athletic Association DII Championships.
Four different players finished in double figures for Cape Fear. Alexius Hampton led the way with 20 points, while Tori Florence chipped in with 16. Jasmine Brown added 13 points and Kristina Rumplasch closed with 10.
The Sea Devils have now won 10 straight games dating back to a 79-67 setback at Guilford Tech on Jan. 24. Tech swept Cape Fear in the regular season series, but the Sea Devils improved to 26-5 overall with Friday’s win.
