The Farm Bureau Mideastern Conference High School Basketball Tournament is set for this week at Brunswick Community College.

First-round action opens with the girls bracket at 4:30 p.m. Monday and continues through Friday, Feb. 20, with championship rounds beginning at 6:30 p.m.
After clinching a share of the conference title with West Brunswick, the Hoggard boys earned a first-round bye due to tiebreakers within league play.

The Trojans finished the year 10-2 in league play and 21-2 overall, while the Vikings earned top spot with a 10-2 conference mark, 18-6 overall.
The Hoggard girls also received a first-round bye as Mideastern Conference regular season champions. New Hanover received the No. 2 seed, ahead of No. 3 Ashley and fourth-seeded Laney.
