The 20th Annual Leon Brogden Holiday tournament will be Dec. 26-28 at Trask Coliseum on the campus of UNCW. The tournament consists of eight schools in each bracket and features all four of the New Hanover County boys and girls high school teams.
There will be six games in Trask Coliseum and two games in Hanover Hall each day. This year, every team is guaranteed to play at least one game inside Trask.
Proceeds from the event go to the New Hanover County School Athletics Scholarship Program.
On the boys side, this year’s field includes New Hanover, Ashley, Hoggard and Laney. The boys tournament will also include Millbrook (Raleigh), East Carteret (Beaufort), Southside High School (Greenville, S.C.) and Miami Senior High School (Miami, Fla.)
The girls tournament includes all four New Hanover County High Schools, in addition to Millbrook (Raleigh), Havelock (Havelock), Kinston (Kinston) and Tuscarora (Leesburg, Va.).
You can get complete access to the entire tournament for $15 or $10 for students with a valid ID. Daily passes are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Game 1: Laney vs. Millbrook (girls) at noon at Trask Coliseum
Game 2: Laney vs. Millbrook (boys) at 1:30 p.m. at Trask Coliseum
Game 3: New Hanover vs. Kinston (girls) at 3 p.m. at Trask Coliseum
Game 4: New Hanover vs. East Carteret (boys) at 4:30 p.m. at Trask Coliseum
Game 5: Hoggard vs. Havelock (girls) at 4:30 p.m. at Hanover Hall
Game 6: Hoggard vs. Southside (boys) at 6 p.m. at Hanover Hall
Game 7: Ashley vs. Tuscarora (girls) at 6p.m. at Trask Coliseum
Game 8: Ashley vs. Miami (boys) at 7:30 p.m. at Trask Coliseum
