The Coastal Cowboys fell to the Hawaiian Gardens Warriors (Calif.) 28-0 in the first round of Division 2 Peewee competition at the 57th annual Pop Warner Super Bowl at the Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Across the rest of the eight-team tournament, SE Dallas (Texas) beat West Haven (Conn.) 31-13, Creeks Outlaws (Fla.) defeated Michigan City (Ind.) 36-6, and Ward 5 Warriors (D.C.) shutout Brent-Oakley (Calif.) 28-0.
The local boys have a few days to rest up before returning to action against West Haven in the consolation bracket. Kickoff between the Cowboys and Seahawks is set for 10:30 a.m. Dec. 10.
