Health alert: Frozen pork dumplings distributed nationwide without federal inspection

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service found Dim Sum Factory Inc. producing and distributing uninspected frozen pork dumpling products.

During a routine surveillance activity, FSIS discovered Gogo Dumpling Pork and Shepherd’s Purse Wontons were being produced off of factory grounds. Since the products originate from an unofficial premise, they were not federally inspected.

The products came in 1.5-pound vacuum-packed packages, bearing the establishment number “EST. 1656” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The products, served online and nationwide, are no longer available for purchase. The USDA speculates the products may be in consumer’s freezers, still. If purchased, consumers should discard the product and avoid consumption.

Questions regarding the public health alert can be directed to Dim Sum Factory Inc. at 862-872-0076.
