WILMINGTON — B Real, Sen Dog, and DJ Muggs, better known as Cypress Hill, brought their Latin-American-infused hip-hop to Live Oak Bank Pavilion on Sunday.

As part of the Dank Daze Summer Tour, the L.A.-based group — who got its start in 1988 and won a Grammy for “Insane in the Membrane” in 1994 — was joined by Lupe Fiasco, Atmosphere, and Pharcyde.

“It was a great show,” said photographer Tom Dorgan, who captured scenes from the concert for Port City Daily. “I was talking to one of the security folks and they joked about how smoky it was but also commented that this crowd was a lot less rowdy than a country show.”

The blunts were fired up particularly during Cypress Hill’s “Weed Medley” and “Dr. Greenthumb,” while they also played through popular hits “Insane in the Membrane,” “When the Shit Goes Down” and “I Ain’t Going Out Like That.” Some covers were also tackled, as heard on Rage Against the Machine’s “Bombtrack.”

Grammy-winning artist Lupe Fiasco, along with ’90s hip-hop groups Atmosphere and Pharcyde also were part of the tour. Below are photos by Dorgan.
