WILMINGTON — A Backstreet Boy is headed to the Port City this October.
Nick Carter’s solo tour, “Who I Am?”, will bring fans a Friday-the-13th treat, as the pop star is performing at CFCC’s Wilson Center on Oct. 13.
Carter was the youngest member of the iconic boy band, which started in the mid-’90s. Since, he has embarked on a 30-year career not only performing to fans in sold-out arenas, but also picking up television, film, and publishing projects.
The best-selling boy band in history, BB has pushed out more than 130 million records worldwide, and earned five Grammy nominations and countless Billboard, MTV Video Music, American Music, RIAA, and People’s Choice Awards.
Carter began his solo career in 2002 and has released four albums, including his debut “Now or Never,” ranking #17 on the Billboard 200.
He also has released multiple singles, including 2023’s “Hurts to Love You.” It has topped the charts in the U.S. and went to number one in Canada. The song is a tribute to Carter’s late brother, Aaron, who passed away last fall.
Tickets go on sale to Wilson Center members on Wednesday, July 19, 10 a.m., and open to the public, Friday, July 21 here.
