BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Marcia Zachary’s final wish is to reveal her work at an art show. The hospice patient has never shown or sold any of her work, according to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

Zachary recently divulged to Lower Cape Fear Hospice’s staff her bucket list wish. Next week, her first and final show is set to take place in Calabash, just before the state border.

Sunset River Marketplace will host Zachary’s opening gallery next week, with her art on display for a couple weeks, according to Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Art shown includes ocean-inspired oil painintings, of which Zachary has enjoyed painting for years.

We have a few others joining in to add to Marcia’s special day with a trip to the salon, a new outfit, and possible transportation to and from the gallery.

Lower Cape Fear Hospice organized a salon trip and new outfit ahead of Zachary’s opening gallery day. Zachary’s opening gallery will be held Thursday, April 4, in Calabash. Her show will take place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Sunset River Marketplace.
