WILMINGTON — Whether you’re looking to “geek out with overs over a shared love of comics, film, TV, or just general nerdy fun,” New Hanover County’s Northeast Library will have something for you this Saturday.
The 2019 Cape Fear Fandom Faire will “celebrate comics, books, movies, cosplay, fan art, and more,” according to county spokesperson Jessica Loeper.
The free event will feature local vendors a cosplay contest, the “Monster of the Week” RPG (role-playing game), anime screenings, and an intro to Dungeons and Dragons. North Carolina-based artist HP Fangs will provide a drawing demo and have art for sale.
The Fandom Faire also recently added New York TImes bestselling young-adult author Julie Kagawa, who will hold a book signing from 12 to 1 p.m. (fans can purchase books at the event or bring their own).
The event will be held on Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northeast Library located at 1241 Military Cutoff Road. You can find more information here.
