WILMINGTON—Female officers on the Wilmington Police Department will star in “Live PD Present: Women on Patrol,” a new reality television show on Lifetime.
According to Lifetime Spokeswoman Gina Nocero, the show will be “shining a spotlight on the female officers in the line of duty.”
The series is a spin-off of A&E’s successful “Live PD” series, with an exclusive focus on female officers. Nocero said the show will provide an “unfiltered and unfettered look at the female officers on the front line of some of the busiest police forces in the country as they patrol their communities.”
The series will feature officers from Wilmington, as well as Jackson, Wyoming; Tempe, Arizona; and Stockton, California. According to Nocero, Wilmington Police Department officers will be featured throughout the season.
Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Linda Rawley Thompson confirmed officers had participated in filming for the show but said the department had no comment at the current time.
The debut season will run for 24 episodes. The first episode premiers on Monday, June 4, at 9 p.m. (both EST and PST).
