34° North Experiment Station is located on the same line of latitude as its original brewery in Marietta, Georgia.
A release states the new brewery will bring “small batches of funky experimental beers, inspired by the wild yeast and bacteria coming off the coastal winds.”
Occupying a building that’s over 120 years old, 34° North Experiment Station will be Brunswick County’s third brewery. Makai Brewing Company in Ocean Isle Beach opened last year and Check Six Brewing Company in Southport opened in 2015.
According to the release, 34° North Experiment Station will host a grand opening party on Sat., April 21 at 2 p.m. They are located at 4802 Main St. in Shallotte.
