NEW HANOVER COUNTY SCHOOLS—In the ever-growing list of closures, New Hanover County Schools has announced it will remain closed on Friday to students and staff.
Hazardous road conditions in the Cape Fear region that the Wilmington Fire Department and National Weather Service are warning residents to avoid unless absolutely necessary are influencing the mass school closures in the area.
New Hanover County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 5, 2018, for students and staff. Parents will receive a call with this announcement.

Pender County Schools has also announced it will remain closed Friday, Jan. 5 due to the inclement weather.
