SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA — The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a coastal hazard warning for all day Saturday.
The warning is for all beaches in Pender, Brunswick and New Hanover counties in North Carolina, and Horry and Georgetown counties in northern South Carolina.
“Incoming swell will produce a strong south to north longshore current for all beaches on Saturday,” the alert states. “The rip current risk will remain low.”
These alerts cover the surf zone, according to the NWS. It expires at 8 p.m.
