UPDATE: Stefanny was found on Thursday morning and a 46-year-old Wilmington man has been charged with her abduction.
NEW HANOVER COUNTY – Detectives are searching for a 6-year-old girl they say was possibly abducted from the driveway of a home on Carolina Beach Road.
Stefanny Lenneth Lopez-Castro was last seen at 5140 Carolina Beach Road, Lot 80, at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer.
Stefanny is a 48-inch tall, Hispanic female who is about 39 pounds with a slim build. She has brown eyes, pierced ears and waist-length, black hair. She was last seen wearing light pink shorts with white polka dots, a white sleeved shirt, and black flip flops.
An Amber Alert issued for Stefanny reported one abductor, described as a white or Hispanic male who spoke English. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt with a dragon on it, long black pants and boots. He also had a black helmet.
