WILMINGTON — Kathryn Joyner Biddle, born on November 25, 1929, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 96.
A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Kathryn’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her faith.
Kathryn grew up in Charleston, SC and met her beloved Mac Biddle while he was at The Citadel Military College in 1951. Throughout her years, Kathryn was a cornerstone of her family’s endeavors, offering her support and assistance with the H.M. Biddle Plumbing Company until her well-deserved retirement. Her commitment to her family business exemplified her hardworking and caring nature.
Kathryn was a cherished member of the First Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina, where her presence and faith were a source of inspiration to those around her. Her devotion to her spiritual community was an integral part of her life, providing her with strength and comfort throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Herbert McClammy “Mac” Biddle, Jr., who passed away on August 14, 2014, as well as her son, Alan Carlton Biddle, who passed on August 26, 2022, and her daughter, Teresa Louise Biddle who passed away on November 8, 2023.
Her enduring love and memory will continue to be held dear by her surviving children, her son Jeffrey Sam Biddle, and her daughter Jane Karen Biddle; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two special nieces Linda Joyner and Louise Joyner.
