WILMINGTON — Timothy “Hunter” Bradford, 23, passed away on July 12, 2026, leaving behind a family and community of friends who loved him deeply.
Born on March 28, 2003 in Raleigh, NC, Hunter was a beloved son, brother, family member, and friend. Family was everything to him. His absence leaves a space that cannot easily be filled, and those who knew him will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and moments they were fortunate enough to share with him.
In 2022, Hunter earned his degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) from Cape Fear Community College. He went on to work as a machine operator with GE Vernova for three years. Hunter was hardworking, dependable, and committed to building a future for himself.
Outside of work, Hunter was an avid TarHeel fan, attending countless games since infancy. He enjoyed playing golf, gaming, cooking, and staying active. Some of his most treasured moments were spent working out at the gym with his dad and was proud that he could bench 225lbs. Whether he was preparing a meal, enjoying a round of golf, competing in a game, or simply spending time with those he loved, Hunter’s presence made those moments meaningful.
Hunter is survived by his parents, Tim Bradford, Donna Bradford, and Leah Bradford; his siblings, Haley Bradford, Chloe Powell, and Sumter Powell; along with a large circle of extended family members, close friends, coworkers, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the countless friends and loved ones who have reached out with messages, visits, prayers, meals, and other acts of kindness. During this time of unimaginable grief, the love and support surrounding Hunter’s family have brought comfort and reminded them just how many lives he touched.
Hunter’s life was far too brief, and there are no words that can fully express the pain of losing him. Still, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the relationships he formed will continue to live on. His family and friends will remember him during rounds of golf, shared meals, late-night games, workouts, laughter, and all the quiet moments when his memory feels especially near. The words, “The pain will stop,” held meaning for Hunter and will remain part of the story of his life as those who knew and loved him continue to honor his memory.
Hunter will be missed more than words can say and loved for all the years to come. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family, his friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
