WILMINGTON — Donald Morrow, 74, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved him deeply.
Born on February 7, 1952, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Donald graduated from Union Catholic High School in 1970 and attended Seton Hall University. Throughout his career, he held a variety of positions, most notably serving as Director of Distribution for Kohl’s Department Stores, where he was known for his dedication, leadership, and strong work ethic.
After retiring in 2004, Donald fulfilled his dream of moving to Kure Beach, North Carolina, where he embraced the coastal lifestyle he loved. In 2021, he made his home in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he continued to enjoy retirement surrounded by friends and family.
Donald found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, spending time at the beach, enjoying fine wine, reading, and making lasting memories with family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of fun as well as his deep appreciation for life’s peaceful moments.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Ayles and her husband, Jonathan, and their children, Isabelle and Balint; and Jennifer Susser and her husband, Craig, and their daughter, Violet. He is also survived by his brother, James Morrow, and sister-in-law, Carol Morrow, as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Donald’s legacy lives on through the love he shared, the family he cherished, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor his memory to spend a day at the beach, cast a fishing line, share a glass of wine with loved ones, or make a donation to a charity of their choice in his memory.
