Beverly Anne Moody, 61

Beverly Anne Moody (Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park)

SNEADS FERRY — Beverly Anne Moody, 61, of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, after her body grew tired from a hard-fought journey through life. Originally from Arkansas, Beverly carried her southern roots, fierce spirit, and unmistakable personality everywhere she went.

Beverly was many things — funny, loving, hardworking, faithful, stubborn, and undeniably feisty (and anyone who knew her would agree the feisty part deserves extra emphasis). She loved deeply, fought fiercely for the people she cared about, and never met a stranger for long. Her laughter, honesty, and larger-than-life personality could light up a room and keep everyone on their toes at the same time.

More than anything, Beverly loved her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Mason Eric Moody; her children, Derrick McEntire, Krys Wheeler, Kenna George and spouse Jeremy George, and Hunter Moody and spouse Greg Langner; her siblings, Brenda Lonergan, Kim Kegley; and her cherished grandchildren, Drake McEntire, Dylan Morris, Carter George, Lincoln George, Madison George, Jameson Morris, Brynlee Wheeler, and a great-granddaughter Kaia Anne, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Charlotte Phillips, her Brother, Billy Wayne Phillips and her beloved grandchild, Noah Morris.

Beverly found happiness in life’s simple joys — riding around on the golf cart, dancing, laughing until her stomach hurt, thrift shopping for treasures, spending time at the beach, and serving in firefighting, where her courage and determination shined brightly. She loved fiercely and lived boldly, never doing anything halfway.

Her family and friends will forever remember her strength, her sass, her loyalty, and the way she made people feel loved, protected, and entertained all at once. Beverly leaves behind countless memories, endless stories, and a space that can never truly be filled.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing her spirit will live on in every laugh, every stubborn streak, every family gathering, and every sunset over the water.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life will be planned in Arkansas at a later date.
