WILMINGTON — Catherine Delores Jordan Cooper, age 81, of Wilmington (the Wrightsboro Community), passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Public viewing 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
A celebration of Ms. Cooper’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Warner Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, 620 Nixon St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
Interment will follow at Moore Family Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terren E. Nixon.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, Pearl Brice (Philip) of Wilmington, NC, Rev. Dr. Mary C. Nixon of Castle Hayne, NC and Richard L. Nixon of Wilmington, NC; siblings, Dentral N. Boykin of Castle Hayne, NC and Carolyn Nixon of Wilmington, NC; daughter-in-law, Andrea Nixon of Maryland, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
