WILMINGTON — Lisa Renee Morris, born on March 16, 1967, in Huntington, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 59. Her journey through life touched the hearts of many, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration.

Lisa was a dedicated worker who found joy in helping others through her profession in cleaning. Her remarkable ability to bring warmth and kindness to every task she undertook made her an endearing presence to those who knew her.

Her life’s passions were as diverse as they were enriching. Lisa was an avid pool player, reveling in the thrill of competition and camaraderie, especially during her trips to Las Vegas where she played in a league. Her love for cooking filled countless homes with delicious aromas and happy gatherings, while her time spent fishing provided peaceful moments of reflection. Line dancing was another joy of hers, providing yet another outlet for her lively spirit. Most precious to her were the moments spent with her family, especially her five grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Additionally, her love for playing cards turned simple games into cherished memories.

Preceded in death by her beloved son, David Young, and her parents, Alfred Morris Sr. and Sandra Morris, Lisa leaves a loving family that cherishes her memory. She is survived by her former husband and lifelong friend, Thomas Young Sr. Her children, Casey Young of Hope Mills NC, Thomas Young Jr. of Springfield GA, Stephanie McClung and her husband Eric, of Bolivia NC, Jennifer Botto and her husband Joseph, of Rocky Point NC, and Nathaniel Young of Tarheel NC. Her siblings, Connie Adams and her husband Johnny, Alfred Morris Jr. and his wife Jessie, Terrie Ammons, and Annette Morris and her husband Kenny, will forever hold her dear in their hearts. Her legacy lives on in her five grandchildren, Justin Tyler, Jordan Tyler, Gunnar McClung, Scarlett McClung, and Elinor Young, as well as an extended family of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her enduring spirit and cherish their shared memories.
