WILMINGTON — Delores Byrd Smith, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026.
A public viewing took place Friday, May 8, 2026 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
A celebration of Mrs. Smith’s life took place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 601 Grace St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Her love and memories will remain in the heart of her husband, William L. Smith, Sr. of the home; daughter, Karen S. Graham of Wilmington, NC; siblings, Julia Evans-Flood (Dallas) of Wilmington, NC, Sandra Byrd-Gentry (Bruce) of Washington, DC, Michelle Downey (Michael) of Brown Summit, NC, William Evans (Constance) of Wilmington, NC, George “Ren” Evans of Wilmington, NC, James “Ricky” Byrd of Wilmington, NC and Lynwood Evans, Sr. (Trudy) of Rocky Point, NC; granddaughter, Naiya Graham of Wilmington, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
