BURGAW — David Joseph Edmonds, Jr., 62, passed from his earthly life Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at home surrounded by loving family.
He was born May 21, 1963, the son of David Joseph Edmonds, Sr. and Kathryn Ethel Opolsky Edmonds, both who preceded David in death.
David is survived by his daughter, Marie Kibodeaux; son-in-law, Anthony Kibodeaux (Lisa Gosnell); grandchildren, Kathryn Kibodeaux (Mason Stone) and AJ Kibodeaux; sisters, Regina Page (Tony Tomassetti) and Maryann Seiger (Ray); brothers, Thomas Edmonds and Joseph Edmonds (Kimberly); many nieces and nephews; and close friends, Mike, Doug, and Mack.
David was truly a jack of all trades as he could and did fix most anything. He was always busy doing for and sharing with others. In years past he and family together enjoyed Saturdays stock car racing on a dirt track near Fayetteville. What fun and great memories they made on the dirt tracks. David had a love for all animals, especially his canine companions, Pork Chop and Junior. He was raised in the Catholic faith. David was loved and will be greatly missed.
